The question "Who owns the land?" originated from the consideration of the aerial photographs of the property structures of Wolkersdorf in the Weinviertel. From the continuing question of the realities of settledness and migration, the question arose of the relationship between the domestic and the foreign. The work opens auditory and visual spaces of thought to these questions. In the form of photography, video installation, sound installation, radio art, concert, workshop, art in public space and in collaboration with inhabitants from Wolkersdorf.
In this project, the radio plays the special role of crossing borders, as a counterbalancing counterpart to the national confinement. So on the one hand radio as access to the foreign other. And on the other hand, radio as the everlasting attempt to connect reality with the reality we are familiar with.
As part of the project, a radio piece by Bruno Pisek, photographs and a video by Helmut Wimmer, as well as scores, flags and drawings by Denisa Angheluta were created.
